Services

Services I offer
in Surry Hills

Surry Hills is one of Sydney's most vibrant and diverse inner-city suburbs, close to the CBD but with a distinct character shaped by its creative community and multicultural heritage. The practice is located in the heart of the suburb, convenient for clients travelling from across inner Sydney.

Chauncey has practised in Surry Hills since beginning her private practice, drawn to the suburb by its connection to Sydney's inner-city LGBTQ+ and creative communities. The Surry Hills practice welcomes clients of all backgrounds, identities and relationship structures, with no requirement to explain or justify who you are before accessing support. In-person sessions in Surry Hills cover the full range of my psychotherapy and counselling practice. I offer Gestalt psychotherapy, which is present-focused, relational and body-aware, and I draw on Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness and Polyvagal Theory. The following are areas I commonly work with in the Surry Hills practice.

Full details on the services page. All of my work is trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming. I am a PACFA Certified Practicing Member #29367.

Online Sessions

Also available
online

In-person therapy offers something distinct from online work for many people: the quality of physical presence, the contained and dedicated space of the therapy room, and the particular kind of grounding that comes from showing up in person each week. For those who value this, the Saturday morning schedule allows for a consistent and unhurried start to the weekend.

If Saturday mornings do not suit your schedule, or if you prefer the convenience and privacy of attending from home, online sessions are available on Wednesday afternoons (Glebe) and Saturday mornings (Surry Hills) via secure encrypted video. Online therapy is as effective as in-person for most presentations.

Many clients begin in person and move to a combination of in-person and online sessions over time, particularly as their schedules change or during periods when travel is difficult. The therapeutic work is the same regardless of format, and the relationship we build in person translates well to an online context.

Online sessions are available to clients anywhere in Australia, not only those in the Sydney area. All you need is a private space, a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.
